How to play GRID™ Autosport?
- Getting Started
- Install the game, download the extra data, then launch and set language, graphics, and control style. Start with Career mode to learn the basics while unlocking cars and events.
- Choose Control Style
- On first launch, pick tilt, touch, wheel, or controller input. Test each style in a quick race and adjust steering sensitivity, brake assist, and traction control to stay in control, not in the wall 😅.
- Set Difficulty & Assists
- Use assists like ABS, traction, and auto-brake if new to racing. Lower AI difficulty at first, then slowly raise it as lap times improve. Aim for clean laps before chasing podiums.
- Start in Career Mode
- Select a discipline such as Touring or Endurance. Accept team contracts, meet sponsor goals, and complete seasons. Finishing races cleanly builds reputation and unlocks better teams and faster cars.
- Learn Tracks in Quick Race
- Use Quick Race to practice circuits without pressure. Focus on learning braking points, corner lines, and safe overtake spots. Turn on the racing line guide if unsure where to brake or accelerate 🧠.
- Master Braking & Cornering
- Brake in a straight line before turns, ease off the brake as turning in, then carefully accelerate out. Avoid full throttle mid-corner to prevent sliding. Smooth inputs are faster than aggressive ones.
- Tune Camera & HUD
- Switch between cockpit, bonnet, and chase views to find the most comfortable viewpoint. Customize HUD to show lap times, minimap, and damage so it’s easy to track race status at a glance 👀.
