What is Munchkin?
Dungeon Door of Pure Chaos Munchkin is a fast-paced parody card game where heroes kick down doors, fight absurd monsters, and grab outrageous loot 🤺💰. Forget epic sagas; this is all about backstabbing, silly jokes, and racing friends to level 10.
Parody of Classic Fantasy Instead of grim dragons and noble quests, meet creatures like Platycore or Potted Plant and weapons like the Cheese Grater of Peace 😆. Classic RPG tropes get twisted into slapstick humor, making every game a lighthearted story.
Fast, Social, and Sneaky Games are packed with table talk, alliances, and betrayal. Help a friend now, curse them later, and negotiate shamelessly for treasure and favors 😎. Simple rules plus deep mischief make it perfect for game nights.
Endlessly Replayable Fun Huge card variety and expansions keep every session fresh. Different combos, surprise curses, and sneaky plays mean no two battles or final sprints to level 10 feel the same 🔁✨.

How to play Munchkin?
- Quick Overview
- The goal is simple: reach Level 10 before anyone else. Kick down doors, fight monsters, grab treasures, and use every trick to slow your friends down 😈. Setup is quick, and most actions are written right on the cards.
- Set Up the Decks
- Shuffle Door cards and Treasure cards into two separate piles. Deal each player a starting hand (for example 4 Door + 4 Treasure cards). Everyone starts at Level 1 with no class or race unless a starting card says otherwise.
- Start Your Turn: Kick Down the Door
- On your turn, draw one card from the Door deck face up. If it is a Monster, you must fight. If it is a Curse, apply it immediately. If it is anything else, add it to your hand and decide when to use it later 🃏.
- Fight Monsters and Count Strength
- When fighting, add your Level plus all bonuses from items, race, class, and temporary cards. Compare this total to the Monster’s strength. Friends can join to help, or other players can boost the Monster with cards to make you lose 😅.
- Win or Run Away
- If your strength is higher, you win the fight: go up one or more Levels as the card says and draw the listed Treasure cards. If you cannot win, you may try to Run Away by rolling a die; failing means suffering the “Bad Stuff” on the Monster card.
- Loot the Room or Look for Trouble
- If there was no Monster when you kicked down the door, choose: “Loot the Room” by drawing one Door card face down, or “Look for Trouble” by playing a Monster from your hand to fight it. This lets you control when to take risks for more rewards 🎲.
- Manage Hand, Equip, and Level Up
- Play Items to the table to equip them, following slot rules (one headgear, one armor, etc.). Use one-shot cards at the right moment to swing battles. At the end of your turn, discard down to the hand limit if needed. Keep pushing your Level higher—first to Level 10 wins the entire game 🏆.
