How to play Rec Room - Play with friends!?
- Getting Started
- Install the app, create an account, and customize a playful avatar. After a quick tutorial, step into the Rec Center hub to meet players, join rooms, and discover featured games 🧭.
- Create or Log In
- Open the game, choose Sign Up or Log In, then pick a nickname and set basic safety settings. Verify email or link platform account to save progress.
- Customize Your Avatar
- From the Mirror area, change hair, outfits, and accessories. Mix styles, try silly combos, and save favorite looks for quick swapping 👕.
- Explore the Rec Center
- Use the watch menu or doorways in the Rec Center to browse featured rooms, events, and friends’ hangouts. Highlight a room and tap Join to jump in.
- Join Games & Activities
- Search for modes like Paintball, Rec Royale, or Dodgeball. Read the room description, press Play, then follow on-screen tips to learn objectives and controls 🏆.
- Use Voice & Gestures Safely
- Turn mic on/off from the watch, use emotes to wave or high-five, and mute or block players if needed. Adjust audio and comfort settings in the menu ⚙️.
- Build Your Own Room
- Open the watch, create a new room, then use the Maker Pen to spawn shapes, props, and gadgets. Save the room, set permissions, and invite friends to test and play 🎨.
